❤️My real photo ❤️
Yesterday we looked at beaches, and their significance, but there is one beach attraction that is often overlooked. Lighthouses ! Ever since I was a young girl I was always fascinated with lighthouses. Their appearance, their purpose, and the individuals that were brilliant enough to think them to life!
The first lighthouse dates back to 250BC, yet they became more renown during and after the 17th century. Lighthouses were build to aid and guide maritime pilots safely to their destination. As we all know the ocean is a BIG vessel, so this was greatly appreciated and desperately needed as technology wasn’t as advanced then as it is now.
So why are lighthouses important ? Besides what they’ve already done? They are a symbol of hope through a perfect storm! To me, I can reflect on life being as turbulent or calm as the seas, and the lighthouse being the light at the end of the tunnel, the hope of a new day, and a final destination after a long journey. The destination isn’t a place, rather a feeling of peace and completion. As people and parents we need never to forget HOPE. It’s what reminds us of who we are and sheds light on who we are supposed to be.
So I end this week ladies and gents with a reminder to you all that to live, we must always keep hope alive no matter how stormy our lives may become. There’s always a light to follow.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
